Accountants One is working with a growing boutique Real Estate Company looking for their next SR Development Accountant.  This person will work closely with asset management and the accounting manager. The client believes in promoting internally and developing their employees. They are fully in the office and believe in culture and collaboration by being in the office. The Senior Development Accountant will handle the following:

• Prepare journal entries, financial statements, reconciliations, G/L, and reporting packages on a regular basis
• Assist with A/R, A/P,  set up leases, and accurate billing based on the leases.
• Involved with reviewing the operating  and joint venture agreements
• Work with the Asset  Management on any ad hoc reporting, and calculate fees
• Keep track of all projects – costs, budgets, forecasting, job costing, monthly draws, cash flows, funding
• Help with year-end audits
• Any special projects

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 3 years of real estate experience, preferably commercial, project accounting, property accountant, or public accounting, working on real estate clients
• CPA a plus
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, communication skills, and a passion for the real estate industry
• Systems experience YARDI, MRI, etc..
