Occupational Therapist:
We are seeking a Part-time to Full-time Occupational Therapist who has worked or is willing to work with the pediatric population and join our energetic team. Your job is to assist children with activities including dressing, feeding, handwriting, strength, coordination, sensory processing, and attention. Our evaluations are administered to better understand functional limitations and create a plan of care customized to the child and family. We value being a part of the child’s team, and we work closely with the child and family to achieve new milestones.
Responsibilities:
Administer standardized testing
- Provide patient- and family-centered clinical services
- Provide evidence-based clinical treatment.
- Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans
- Perform discharge evaluations, make appropriate recommendations for home and community safety, and provide referral and education resources
- Communicate patient’s needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, person receiving services and family members
- Communicates and collaborates with other disciplines, participates in coordination of care and enhance patient outcomes
- Provide clinically appropriate therapeutic intervention
· Complete relevant paperwork, evaluation reports, plans of care, progress notes, daily treatment notes, and discharge reports
- Educate and communicate with clients, family members, and other care personnel regarding the individualized treatment plan for the child
· Establish client goals and discuss the plan of care. Provide feedback as appropriate to the child, their family members.
· Self-Motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
· Help with clinic maintenance and organization
· Be willing to supervise students per WA states requirements
· Be prepared for all job duties, dressed professionally/appropriately, pursuant of professional and personal development.
Schedule:
- 8- 10 hour shift (flexible scheduling options)
- Monday thru Friday or 4/10 shift options
- No weekends
- Hours of operation 8-6:30pm
Must have:
- Master’s or doctorate degree in occupational therapy
- Current Washington state licensure, in good standing, to practice occupational therapy
- Demonstrates proficiency in occupational therapy modalities required to provide high-quality, evidence-based care to our pediatric client base
- Have previous pediatric experience or desire to work with kids
- Capable of building strong rapport with patients and families from a variety of backgrounds through good communication and empathy
