Central Supply Technician
Pride Health is hiring a Central Supply Technician for one of its clients in California.
This is a 4-month contract with competitive pay and benefits.
Location – Mountain View and Los Gatos, CA
Pay range - $20 - $25 per hour.
Length of assignment – 4 months contract (Leave of Absence Coverage)
Shift – M-F 8*5; 100% onsite.
Job Summary
The Central Supply Technician is responsible for receiving, storing, distributing, and inventorying medical supplies and equipment throughout the client’s Hospital system. This role supports the efficient operation of the Materiel Management Department, primarily within the Distribution team, and may be cross-trained in related functional areas. This is an enterprise position requiring flexibility to work at multiple hospital campuses or affiliate locations within a 15-mile radius.
Job Duties
· Receive and verify incoming shipments of supplies and equipment.
· Store and organize supplies according to hospital policies and inventory protocols.
· Accurately maintain inventory records using a computerized inventory management system.
· Distribute medical and surgical supplies to departments in a timely and efficient manner.
· Perform routine inventory checks, restock par levels, and rotate stock to prevent waste.
· Communicate clearly with clinical and non-clinical staff to understand and meet supply needs.
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of supply storage areas.
· Comply with safety, infection control, and hospital regulatory guidelines.
Requirements
· High school diploma or GED.
· At least 1 year of experience in a hospital Central Supply Department.
· At least 1 year of experience with a computerized inventory management system.
· Ability to lift, push, and transport materials and equipment as required (up to 50 lbs).
· Willingness and ability to work at multiple sites within a 15-mile radius.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
· Familiarity with healthcare supply chain operations and terminology.
· Professionalism when interacting with physicians, nurses, and hospital staff.
