We currently have an immediate opening for a Tool & Die maker with a busy Aerospace company in the city of Commerce, CA. The tool & Die Maker will be responsible for the following.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, construct, and repair machine shop tools, jigs, fixtures, die-sets, gauges, and templates.
• Specialize in progressive die maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Operate all tool room machinery and perform skilled fitting, fabricating, and assembling.
• Use precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Apply trigonometry and geometry in layout and machining tasks.
• Perform heat treatment of tools and development work with engineers.
• Ensure quality using SPC charting and inspection tools.
• Identify and resolve machining issues promptly.
• Maintain safety and efficiency standards.

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading technical documents and writing routine reports.
• Strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to interpret complex technical instructions and diagrams.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 25 lbs and standing for extended periods.
• Visual acuity for close work, color differentiation, and depth perception.
