Job Title: Cosmetic Grinder

Job Summary:

The Cosmetic Grinder is responsible for grinding, blending, and polishing metal or composite parts to meet surface finish specifications for cosmetic appearance. This role ensures that parts meet visual quality standards required by customers, using hand tools and power equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Grind, sand, and polish surfaces of metal or plastic parts to remove burrs, welds, scratches, or other imperfections.

• Ensure finished surfaces meet cosmetic and dimensional specifications.

• Use tools such as hand grinders, pneumatic tools, belt sanders, and buffing equipment.

• Inspect parts visually and with measuring tools to ensure quality standards.

• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and finish requirements.

• Maintain a clean and organized workstation.

• Report defects or production issues to supervisor or quality control personnel.

• Follow all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.

• Perform basic maintenance on grinding equipment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• 1–2 years of experience in metal grinding, polishing, or similar finishing work preferred.

• Ability to distinguish surface finishes and identify cosmetic flaws.

• Comfortable using hand and power tools.

• Attention to detail and manual dexterity.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

• Familiarity with safety standards in a manufacturing environment.

Work Environment:

Work is performed in a production environment that may include exposure to noise, dust, and moving machinery. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.

Schedule:

Full-time, four 10-hour shifts 6:00am-4:30pm
