Respiratory Therapist – Acute Care - $25,000 Sign On Bonus

Our Client: Our Client is a full-service healthcare provider that has served the city of Gainesville for over 20 years.

The Position: Our Client is seeking a qualified Respiratory Therapist in Gainesville, FL. As a Certified Therapist, you will evaluate the respiratory needs of your patients. You will also develop and implement the Respiratory Care Plan for your patients. Client is offering the following benefits and compensation:

• Hourly pay based on experience:
  • Under 1 year: $27.42 per hour
  • 2 to 3 years: $29.89 per hour
  • 4 to 5 years: $31.12 per hour
  • 6 to 7 years: $32.36 per hour
  • 9 to 10 years: $33.59 per hour
  • Over 10 years: 36.95 per hour
• Shift Differential - $3.25 per hour (nights), $2 per hour (weekends)
• Sign On Bonus
  • $25,000 – Full Time Evenings or Nights, 1 Year of Experience, 2 Year Commitment

Job Responsibilities:

• Shifts Available:
  • Nights (Rotating Weekends)
  • Evenings (Rotating Weekends)
• Responsible for the application and operation of acute care ventilators used for continuous short and long-term mechanical ventilation.
• Must be self-directed in the absence of the full-time Team Leader.
• Maintain all department and hospital records and enter accurate information into the hospital computer for the therapy as given.
• Set up and administer all routine and complex respiratory therapy procedures to patients of all ages.

Job Requirements:

• 1 year of RRT experience preferred
• CRT experience is also considered
• 1 year of acute care experience preferred, not required
• Will consider home care and/or LTC experience
• Completion of a Vocational/Technical program or an AMA approved respiratory care program
• Associate's degree, bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current Florida State License (CRT) Certified Respiratory Therapist.
• American Heart Association BLS health care provider required.
• ACLS, PALS and NRP within 6 months of hire.
