We have an immediate opening for a Plant Maintenance Technician (2nd shift) for a manufacturing (Injection Molding) company in Elgin.  This position requires previous experience maintaining machines and equipment as well as general building maintenance.

Hours 3pm to 11pm Monday through Friday

Pay DOE (Approx. $23 to $26/hr)  Plus great benefits once hired.

Job Duties:

• Ensure the upkeep of the Injection Molding Facility
• Maintain preventative maintenance programs on all molding and support equipment
• Keep and update accurate maintenance records on all equipment and facility
• Interact and communicate with all departments and machine manufacturers service technicians'
• Ensure a smooth-running, well-maintained facility
• Minimize downtime due to machine or equipment failure
• Provide clear and accurate records of maintenance activities performed
• Communicate problems/ issues in the manufacturing facility to the Maintenance Supervisor
• Maintain all P/M records as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years' experience in hydraulics, electronics and pneumatics
• Must possess a basic understanding of mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic blueprints
• Must understand all support equipment associated with injection molding (Thermolators, Spru Pickers, Grinders, etc...)
• Must be capable of general fabrication such as welding and brazing
• Must be capable of general plumbing using PVC and/ or galvanized pipe
• Must be capable of general wiring, conduit bending and fabrication
