Job Details

The Manufacturing Design Engineer is responsible for leading engineering, part design and testing efforts on behalf of the company. The Engineer participates in all phases of a production parts lifecycle. This includes:

· Interacting with customers to understand their specific applications and part requirements.

· Recommend manufacturing processes to help customers achieve their goals.

· Assist in the component design process.

· Prepare CAD drawings for customer and manufacturing review.

Other duties include:

· Organize and lead testing, data collection and reporting.

· Assist in resolving quality control issues.

· Prepare PPAP documents

Candidate Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing or materials engineering.

· Proficiency in computer aided design applications, preferably SolidWorks.

· Strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn and be challenged.

· A desire to engage in continual learning.

· Articulate and accurate, thoughtful writing skills

· Experience in Plastics and/or Composites helpful.

· Experience in metal machining/manufacturing/fabrication processes helpful.

· Additional ongoing training to ensure success.
