Job Details

• We are really looking for a detailed and thorough individual that has experience with MRP and planning out work orders and capacity. This position would require being able to juggle production meetings, updating excel sheets, maintain shortages, creating and closing work orders, providing lead times based on materials on hand and supply and demand, Scheduling out the machine shop and sub assy work centers, count, verify, correct work orders for items that need outside services such as heat treat and plating, maintain the open work orders and review sales backlog to plan out further and achieve on time deliveries

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan for and procure materials necessary to meet manufacturing build requirements for production and direct customer orders.
• Plan and schedule timely material requirements for sales/customer forecasts.
• Review manufacturing production goals and plan accordingly. Analyse inputs (e.g., capacity, urgency of request, material availability, etc.) to help determine schedule.
• Monitor and provide reports detailing the performance of the production team
• Effectively utilize the JD Edwards system to minimize inventories and prevent shortages.
• Assist the planning inventory teams to maintain an accurate inventory and ensure efficient flow of work orders through the factory
• Continually monitor vendor performance and maintain on time delivery through constant follow up
• Manage and maintain all MRO ordering within the facility
• Continually seek out alternative supply chains to optimize operational lead time, quality and cost.
