Job Details

Traffic Control Technicians work with the CCTV Operators and Riggers to ensure that automobiles do not interfere with, or pose a danger to, workers and their projects. This involves setting up lane closures, safety barriers, directing traffic by utilizing signs to tell traffic to either stop or to proceed slowly. Traffic control technicians must be constantly aware of both the CCTV Operators working in the road and traffic activity taking place around them. The traffic team sets up cones and signs based on traffic control plans.

• Must be a self-starter with the ability to take direction well
• Ability to work safely and accurately under pressure
• Demonstrate communication skills with traffic and pedestrians using large arm motions, hand signals and paddles
• Ability to communicate well through radio and directly with team members
• Able to withstand working in extreme weather conditions
• Ability to bend, sit and stand for long periods of time
• Able to lift 50 to 65 pounds frequently
• Ability to multi-task when needed and it is applicable to the environment
• Ability to pay attention in both slow and high-volume traffic environments
• Ability to maintain effective relationships with fellow employees, the community, and or public officials

REQUIREMENTS-

• Valid Driver License
• A High School Diploma or equivalent educational experience such as a GED
• Pass random drug screens
• Must be able to travel.
