Senior Contracts Manager
Phoenix, Arizona
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Contracts Manager:
- Contract Drafting & Negotiation
Lead end-to-end drafting and negotiation of complex agreements (e.g., NDAs, client/vendor contracts, reseller deals). Advise internal partners on obligations and risks, and resolve disputes with legal and external parties while preserving strong business relationships. - Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM)
Oversee contract workflows using the company’s CLM system (Ironclad). Drive efficiency and optimize CLM processes and user experience. - Clause Library Ownership
Build and maintain a centralized, scalable library of preferred and fallback clauses. Standardize templates and language to meet legal, compliance, and business goals. - Cross-Functional Collaboration & Risk Management
Partner across departments (Legal, Procurement, Vendor Management) to prioritize contracts and mitigate risk. Act as SME and mentor, ensuring regulatory and policy compliance across contract operations. - Contract Performance & Reporting
Track and report on key contract metrics. Deliver performance insights and suggest improvements that align with business objectives. - Mentorship & Training
Guide junior contract staff through ongoing mentorship and develop internal training resources to strengthen team capabilities. - Process Optimization
Lead improvements in contract management processes, tools, and templates. Champion automation and integration initiatives for better consistency and risk reduction. - Additional Responsibilities
Support special projects, audits, and broader contract governance initiatives as a senior leader on the team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 7+ years of contract management experience.
- 3+ years of experience working in B2B technology.
- 2+ years of experience mentoring, coaching, and guiding team members.
- Experience in FinTech and/or Financial Services preferred.
