What You Do
Analyzes customer demographics, fashion trends, and market conditions to shape strategic product direction and identify emerging opportunities
Develops competitive strategies to optimize assortment, pricing, margin, and promotions while maximizing ROI and complementing adjacent categories
Collaborates cross-functionally with design, marketing, studio, e-commerce, finance, and operations to align merchandising strategies and drive category profitability
Provides data-driven product development recommendations and supports commercialization through accurate setup, PIM documentation, and launch readiness across all channels
Conducts regular market visits and competitive research to identify trends, product gaps, and pricing opportunities
Supports promotional planning and e-commerce execution, ensuring compelling and accurate product representation
Prepares and presents category performance reports to leadership, highlighting key trends, financials, and growth opportunities
Travels domestically and internationally for trade shows, vendor meetings, and inspiration gathering
Leads and develops team members through coaching, feedback, and engagement with learning opportunities
Upholds and models the company’s Core and Growth Values in all aspects of the role
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Merchandising, Retail, or equivalent work experience required
5–7 years of experience in product management, buying, merchandising, marketing, or a related field—preferably in outdoor furniture or a similar industry
Supervisory or management experience preferred
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with keen attention to detail and follow-through
Proven ability to analyze data, solve problems, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated agility and ability to pivot quickly in response to changing priorities
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Continuous Improvement principles is a plus
Able to work both independently and collaboratively across teams
