Duties & Responsibilities:
Project Estimation & Management
- Develop comprehensive, accurate, and profitable estimates for design-build and plan-and-specification projects in heavy industrial sectors, including self-perform work for our in-house services.
- Guide clients through the complete design-build process from pre-construction to project completion
- Manage multiple concurrent projects while simultaneously pursuing new bidding opportunities
Client Relations & Communication
- Maintain daily client relationships including project updates, change order management, problem resolution, and quality assurance
- Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the project lifecycle
- Foster positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, stakeholders, municipalities, and engineering/architectural firms
Project Execution
- Collaborate effectively with project superintendents to ensure projects meet specifications, budgets, schedules, and quality standards
- Create and maintain detailed project schedules
- Review, modify, and approve submittals, shop drawings, and cut sheets
- Oversee construction methods and means
- Ensure all work adheres to safety policies and procedures
- Conduct project financial tracking and analysis
- Manage project documentation and closeout procedures
- Safety Mindset: OSHA 30 Certification and MSHA Part 48 Certification.
Education & Experience
- Construction Management degree (minimum); Structural/Civil Engineering degree preferred
- Minimum 10 years of project management/estimating experience in building, manufacturing, or heavy industrial markets
- 5+ years of self-perform mechanical and/or civil project estimating and management experience preferred
- Heavy industrial experience is a significant plus
Technical Skills
- Comprehensive understanding of contractual documents, plans, specifications, and construction methods
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and MS Project
- Vista ViewPoint Software experience preferred
