We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. This is a contract position with potential for a permanent role. In this role, you will provide exceptional care to expectant mothers during labor, delivery, and postpartum. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to supporting families through one of the most important moments of their lives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor the health of mothers and babies before, during, and after labor
• Provide education and emotional support to expectant mothers and their families
• Administer medications and assist with pain management options
• Assist with labor and delivery, including monitoring fetal heart rates and contractions
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare providers to ensure safe deliveries
• Record medical histories, progress, and any complications
• Provide postpartum care and assist with infant care and breastfeeding education
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations
• Respond to emergencies and assist in the delivery of high-risk pregnancies when needed

Qualifications:

• Candidate must live 30 miles away from the healthcare facility
• Registered Nurse (RN) with a Texas or Multistate license
• 1+ Experience in labor and delivery or maternity care
• BLS certification required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
• Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care
