Job Description
The Electronics Manufacturing Production Worker/Assembler is responsible for assembling electronic components, subassemblies, and final products using various hand tools, machines, and assembly techniques. The role involves following blueprints and work instructions to ensure the correct assembly and quality of products, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and adhering to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assembly of Components:
Assemble electronic components, subassemblies, and complete products according to specifications and instructions.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machines to perform tasks such as soldering, wiring, and component placement.
Conduct visual inspections to verify the quality and accuracy of assemblies.
Work Instruction Compliance:
Follow written work orders, diagrams, and blueprints to ensure precise assembly of products.
Complete documentation and production logs as required.
Testing and Quality Control:
Conduct basic testing on electronic assemblies to ensure functionality and conformance to specifications.
Perform quality control checks during and after the assembly process to detect defects and ensure product reliability.
Packaging and Final Preparation:
Package finished products for shipment, ensuring they are properly labeled and secured.
Ensure all final products meet quality standards before shipment to customers.
Safety and Cleanliness:
Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company safety standards.
Use appropriate protective equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, and anti-static devices when handling electronic components.
Collaboration:
Work closely with team members and supervisors to ensure production goals and deadlines are met.
Report any issues or problems with equipment or materials to supervisors.
Skills and Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Basic knowledge of electronics, soldering, and assembly techniques.
Experience with hand tools, power tools, and machines used in electronics assembly.
Attention to detail to ensure accurate and precise assembly.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Familiarity with safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
Manual dexterity to handle small parts and components.
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
