Job Details

Our client is searching for an IT Specialist for their office in North Houston (near George Bush Intercontinental Airport).  This position will be responsible for maintaining the technology infrastructure, ensuring system security, and delivering exceptional technical support to all  employees. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently while collaborating effectively with other departments and the salary range is $70,000-$80,000 per year.

Duties/Responsibilities:  

• Configure and deploy devices for new employees, including computers, mobile devices, and tablets.
• Install, configure, and maintain software applications across all company devices.
• Manage device inventory and asset tracking and coordinate with vendors for hardware procurement and warranties.
• Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot company servers to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
• Perform regular system backups, updates, and maintenance procedures.
• Manage server security protocols and access permissions.
• Monitor and maintain security protocols for all company devices and systems.
• Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans.
• Manage user access rights and permissions.
• Respond to security incidents and implement corrective measures.
• Provide timely technical support to employees via phone, email, and in-person assistance.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across various platforms.
• Document and track support requests using ticketing systems.
• Collaborate with management and departments on future technology initiatives.
• May be tasked with implementing new systems and technologies as needed.
• Support system integrations and migrations, as needed.
• Assess technical requirements for new projects and provide recommendations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
   

Requirements:

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in IT support or system administration required.
• Experience with server administration and network management.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and common business applications.
• Familiarity with security tools and best practices.
• Proficiency in Windows server environments.
