Responsibilities
- Instrument and assemble hardware components into complete assembled test articles
- Support the Fabrication department by performing the technical duties associated with fabrication and assembly tasks including handwork, fit and finish.
- Lead assigned tasks by planning the sequence of operations depending upon specified material and assembly to ensure completion within schedule and budget
- Verify conformance of finished assembly to specified tolerances, blueprint specifications, and other required specifications with various measurement tools, including, but not limited to calipers, scales, micrometers, and gauges
- Interpret, select, adopt and apply appropriate guidelines, procedures, and practices which relate to appropriate assemblies, disassembles and component rework or repair
- Identify, verify and keep accurate documentation of all instrumentation and/or required testing
Qualifications
Preferred Education / Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of related discipline; or
- A combination of education and experience equivalent to above
Preferred Knowledge / Ability:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings and documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- May be required to travel up to 10% of the time
- Demonstrated knowledge of instrumentation application, including strain gages, soldering, PC board population and cable and harness manufacture.
