Great opportunity for a Bachelor's level candidate to work at our Residential Facility in Madison Heights as a Primary Therapist and we will help you obtain your MCBAP Certification.

$2,000 Signing Bonus for Therapists with 2 years of Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Masters Level.

Seeking qualified candidates for our Plymouth and Madison Heights locations.

**Seeking Masters Level candidates with at least 2 years of experience to work at our EOPD Program at our Plymouth Location.


Great opportunity to work as a Primary Substance Use Disorder Treatment Therapist:

We offer a full continuum of care with clinical locations in Plymouth, Canton and Madison Heights. Specifically, our intent is to increase client well-being, decrease addiction severity, improve the quality of client’s mental and physical health, and contribute positively to society. All services will integrate substance use disorder, mental health and primary health care treatment in cohesive and client-centered programs. Competitive Salary - up to $35.00 per hour depending on degree level and experience.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Utilize the LIGHT model in the assessment, teaching and counseling of clients.
  • Provide individual and group therapy in an enthusiastic and compassionate manner to keep clients engaged in their recovery.
  • Facilitate individual sessions for all assigned clients weekly, with 2-3 groups week on a variety of topics pre-selected by PNLH.
  • Work closely with all therapeutic services and multidisciplinary team members to identify the needs of client(s).
  • Ensure timely processing of proper authorizations.
  • Monitor and coordinate through contact with client/family and service providers to ensure optimal utilization of offered services and adequate provision of needed services.
  • Establish and maintain up-to-date client records, including demographics and evaluation of care.
  • Maintain highest level of client confidentiality.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary case conference meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements

  • Master’s degree required in Human Services related field (social work, psychology, counseling, etc). Licensed professionals preferred.
  • CADC, CADDC or MCBAP Development Plan required (PNLH will assist in the coordination of obtaining MCBAP Development Plan/Certifications).

Preferred experience

  • Two years’ experience in substance abuse counseling preferred.
  • PNLH prefers candidates with training in, and experience with, providing trauma-related services.
  • PNLH expects many clients will have co-occurring mental health disorders. Each clinician will seek training to be competent with this population.
  • Experience with the authorization process for any of the state’s PIHP’s.
