About the Role:
The Patient Registration Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless and efficient patient intake process within our healthcare facility. This position is responsible for accurately collecting and entering patient information into our electronic health record system, which is vital for maintaining patient safety and compliance with healthcare regulations. The coordinator will also serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing them with essential information and support to navigate their healthcare journey. By fostering a welcoming environment, the coordinator helps to enhance patient satisfaction and trust in our services. Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or administrative role.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and basic office software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with insurance verification.
- Bilingual skills to assist a diverse patient population.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients upon arrival and assist them with the registration process.
- Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details.
- Enter patient data accurately into the electronic health record system.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure timely patient appointments and follow-ups.
- Address patient inquiries and resolve any registration-related issues promptly.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
