Position Summary:

Performs short-cycle assembly of electromechanical products and subassemblies of moderate complexity under the direction of the Assembly Lead.

Essential Functions:

• Assembles and reworks electronic and electromechanical precision components and subassemblies, including switches, synchros, potentiometer gearboxes, and circuit boxes.

• Operates hand tools and light power equipment such as drill presses, hand grinders, and sanders.

• Reads and interprets blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

• Performs soldering and wiring tasks as required for final assembly.

• Immediately reports part shortages or quality issues to the Assembly Lead.

• Produces quality work with occasional inspections by the Assembly Lead or Quality Control.

• Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company safety policies.

• Develops familiarity with company-specific designs, manufacturing processes, and quality standards.

• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Role Qualifications:

Skills and Abilities:
Basic knowledge of electronic theory. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions accurately.

Education and Experience:
Minimum of two years of experience as a mechanical assembler.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to manipulate objects, reach with arms and hands, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, or hear. May occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds.

• Work Environment: The position is located on a manufacturing floor within the same facility as office space. The work environment may include exposure to heat, fumes, and high noise levels. Climate-controlled areas are available but may vary depending on work location.
