Job Description

Description: Fix supplier quality and engineering issues impacting GCA, Direct Run and Warranty.
• Solve problems using Red X and other tools as applicable.
• Assist production in preventing defects and recommend process improvements.
• Collaborate with suppliers on SPPSs and ensure robust corrective action.
• Share Lessons Learned with Engineering to prevent repeat design or build issues.
• Review nonconforming parts and sub-assemblies for proper initial disposition and root cause.
• Coordinate periodic system and process audits at the plant and supplier facilities.
• Coordinate engineering change implementation. Assist in running PTRs (Production Trial Run).

Typical day in the role: These individuals will be apart of a group that has a team leads o each day they will get their direction for the day from their team lead. Right now we are not running full production, but in November we will be, so at that point each engineer will have their own parts and commodities and they will have a radio and let us know if there are issues on the floor. There is a good amount of training that will happen to get these individuals fully functional. Getting them familiar with systems, once they are up and running it will be a lot of problem solving with components, working with engineering and working with suppliers. Will also work with third parties

Candidate Requirements: Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability.
• Team player and detail oriented.
• Expert leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
• Some familiarity with read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports.
• Previous experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD).

Top 3 Skills: Excel skills and computer skills are required. Working with a lot of spreadsheets and map data (3d prints and analyzing that). A bit of computer programing
