Job Description
Doyon Government Group (DGG) provides design-build and general construction services for demolition, new construction, renovations, repairs, and civil projects at government-owned facilities and military installations.
Doyon Government Group hiring a Construction Project Coordinator to support active federal construction projects at Fort Lee, Virginia, specifically for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). This is a full-time, on-site role ideal for candidates with experience in project administration, document control, and coordination on government or military construction sites.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and familiar with USACE standards, submittal processes, and construction documentation requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Support Project Manager and field team with daily coordination and administrative tasks
- Track and manage submittals, RFIs, daily reports, meeting minutes, and correspondence
- Maintain organized project records in compliance with EM 385-1-1 and federal contract requirements
- Assist in preparing and tracking safety documentation including Accident Prevention Plans (APPs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), and training logs
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to track schedules, material deliveries, and project logistics
- Communicate with USACE representatives regarding document approvals, updates, and compliance
- Support project closeout by compiling and organizing turnover documentation
- Help schedule meetings, organize travel logistics, and assist visiting project staff as needed
Requirements:
- 2+ years of construction project support or coordination experience (federal experience preferred)
- Experience with USACE, RMS/QCS, or other federal construction platforms highly preferred
- Strong computer skills – proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and project tracking tools
- Familiarity with federal documentation standards, safety records, and quality control documentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to pass a government background check
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience supporting USACE or NAVFAC projects
- Working knowledge of EM 385-1-1, Davis-Bacon/Prevailing Wage, and construction safety protocols
- Experience with RMS 3.0, Procore, or other construction management software
