Tire Technician

Reporting to the owner, the tire technician will be responsible for the assessment, replacement, repair, rotation, studding and/or retreading of tires, as well as maintaining an inventory of equipment needed to ensure each automobile is in a good state, while providing outstanding customer services to our customers.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Inspect vehicles for correct tire pressure and visible damage

Assess the wear and tear of the tires and provide recommendations to clients

Perform tire rotations to ensure even tire wear

Repair tire punctures and install new tires as required

Balance wheels to ensure a smooth ride

Conduct alignment checks and perform wheel alignments

Advise customers on tire options and benefits depending on their driving habits and preferences

Maintain inventory control, order materials and manage stock levels

Ensure safety procedures are adhered to during all operations

Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer concerns and complaints

Essential Requirements

Proven work experience as a Tire Technician or similar role in an automotive setting.

Good understanding of tire repair and maintenance techniques.

The ability to lift heavy equipment and work in physically demanding conditions.

Proficient in the use of tire repair and balancing equipment.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Valid driver’s license.

Excellent customer service skills, strong verbal and communications skills.
