Tradeco Construction is currently seeking multiple Iron Worker/Welders for a project in Brinkley, AR. The preferred candidates will work with steel and iron components, ensuring proper assembly and connection through welding.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.

·         Understanding project specifications to guide the fabrication and installation process.

·         Cutting, bending, and shaping steel and iron using tools like torches, shears, and welding equipment.

·         Joining metal parts together using various welding techniques and ensuring secure connections with bolts and other fasteners.

·         Using cranes, hoists, and rigging equipment to guide and place heavy steel components.

·         Aligning and securing metalwork with precision, using tools like plumb bobs, lasers, and levels.

·         Identifying and addressing any issues with welds, connections, or structural components.

·         Safely operating in elevated positions on construction sites.

·         Adhering to company safety policies and using personal protective equipment (PPE).

·         Ensuring proper functioning of welding machines, hand tools, and other equipment.

·         Collaborating with other construction professionals to ensure project success.

·         Using torches and welding equipment to cut and join steel components.

·         Installing steel columns, beams, and other structural elements.

·         Placing and securing metal sheets for floors and roofs.

·         Erecting stairs, handrails, and other architectural features

·         Installing metal components for access and safety.

·         Guiding crane and other heavy machinery operators during lifting and positioning of materials.

Qualifications:

·         Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials.

·         Proficiency in welding, cutting, and using hand and power tools.

·         Ability to read blueprints, understand technical drawings and specifications.

·         Ability to identify and resolve structural issues.

·         Ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks.

·         Ability to work at heights without fear.

·         Understanding and adhering to safety regulations and procedures.

·         Collaborating effectively with other construction professionals.

·         Understanding the properties of steel and iron and how they are used in construction.
