Heron Creek Golf & Country Club currently has great opportunities for those who would like to help us achieve our Vision of being the premier Club in South Sarasota County, in the City of North Port, Florida, located 5 minutes off of I-75. The enthusiastic, skilled, and motivated team player we are seeking is a Full-Time Controller to join our accounting team.

The Controller will be expected to perform accounting and office functions which include but are not limited to general accounting, budgeting, member interaction, vendor interaction, and miscellaneous billings. This position may include supervisory duties of accounting staff as assigned.

• Accounts Receivable
• Office Supplies Inventory Management
• Payroll Processing & HR Assistance
• Member Services
• GL Account Reconciliations
• Period Close Tasks
• Standard Operating Procedure Maintenance
• Treasury and Banking Assistance
• Other Duties as Assigned

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Required:

• A minimum of 2 years experience in accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related area.

Preferred:

• A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in a private club.
• Proficient in Jonas Club Software.

SKILLS: Excellent customer service skills are a MUST. Possess the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with members, co-workers, and various levels of management. Must have basic math skills and be efficient on ten-key. Computer skills should include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Attention to detail, speed, accuracy, and the ability to follow through on assigned tasks.

ACCOUNTABILITY: Accountable for the completion of tasks according to established policies and procedures in a timely manner.
