Established in 1929, Prudent Publishing Co. is the leading mail order publisher of premium quality personalized greeting cards in the U.S. We have the following career opportunity at our manufacturing facility in Landing, NJ.

Job Purpose: Fulfill the needs of production by safely and effectively operating a forklift within a warehouse environment

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Retrieve and replenish stock as needed for production using various warehouse equipment (ex. forklift or pallet jack) as well as by hand
• Utilize an ERP system for keeping accurate inventory levels
• Prepare, load, and unload delivery trucks
• Participate in an annual year-end physical inventory count
• Adhere to all operational safety procedures for warehouse equipment

Skills/Qualifications:

• Ability to operate various pieces of warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, sit-down forklifts, and double-reach forklifts (preferred)
• Familiarity with warehousing
• Good organizational skills
• Basic computer skills
• Capability to routinely lift 40-45 pounds
• Familiarity working with ERP or SAP systems (preferred)
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in email
• Ability to work in a team environment with various departments
• Ability to work mandatory weekend overtime throughout the October-December peak season

Salary: $20/hour

Shift:

July through August: Monday thru Thursday, from 7am to 4:30pm

September through December: Monday thru Friday, hours are 7am to 3:30pm*

* Potential for work to extend until 6:30pm including Sat/Sun in late Oct thru early Dec
