What you'll be doing
Armavel is seeking a Cloud Cybersecurity Engineer with experience supporting applications, identifying and developing security requirements for cloud solutions, identifying strategies for addressing security requirements, using automation to manage configurations, establishing and enforcing technical standards, supporting toolset configurations, and implementing best practices to ensure adherence to agency security standards and policy. This position will support a dynamic large enterprise customer and the ideal candidate is well-versed in cybersecurity engineering within cloud environments.
Keys to success in this position
- Conduct thorough reviews of cloud system toolset configurations to ensure compliance with security standards and policy.
- Organize input from a team of security professionals to produce detailed summary reports and gap analyses.
- Review and document configurations related technical security responsibility for existing cloud-based applications.
- Conduct architectural analysis and review, application integration, provide guidance to developers, and ensure adherence to best practices as well as the customer's business objectives.
- Develop and maintain a baseline for security visibility and analytics within cloud environments.
- Prototype solutions to ensure alignment to requirements.
- Ensure system implementations are in alignment with organizational goals and requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 6+ years’ experience in a technical role with at least 5 years working in an AWS/Azure environment.
- Experience reviewing security tool configurations and identifying gaps.
- Solid communication skills, both orally and in writing to convey complex technical concepts to less technical audiences.
- Exceptional organization skills with the ability to manage multiple personnel and lines of effort at once.
- Strong collaboration, coordination, and ownership.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with containers and container orchestration.
- Extensive experience with ITSM/ITIL concepts, DevSecOps methods and practices, terminology, and processes.
- Certification: AWS Solutions Architect Expert OR Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
- Prior experience serving large enterprise customers (100,000+ employees).
- Strong ability to foster collaborative work in dynamic team environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly with all levels in an organization.
